#EthicalOOTD: Mom Shorts

I finally bought a pair of denim cutoff shorts, which is a summer wardrobe staple. They’re good for everything from outdoor activities to nights out. This pair is fashioned from what looks like mom jeans. I like high-waisted bottoms, since they give me more of an hourglass figure. This is from Urban Outfitter’s Urban Renewal line, which recycles vintage clothes into modern pieces. Their shorts are made from old jeans, so every pair is different. I’m not sure if they have high-waisted denim shorts at the moment, but if you must have your own pair immediately, you can always look for mom jeans at your local thrift shop and make your own cutoffs.

Worn with Everlane’s black silk camisole (made ethically in Hangzhou, China) and Castañer ‘Carina’ espadrilles (made in Spain), which I’ve been wearing all summer. Sunglasses are Saint Laurent (made in Italy). I think I’m missing a fun and/or fancy clutch for this outfit. I don’t own any clutches at all. Any ethical suggestions?
