I’m always happy to discover new ethical/sustainable/eco-friendly/zero-waste brands and companies. My readers are mostly women in the US, Canada, and Europe. Trust is everything, and I only recommend products and services I think they would like and benefit from. I’m a member of Ethical Writers & Creatives, which has strict guidelines to accept sustainable bloggers who are professional and honest (no fake followers, etc). If you’re a new brand looking to get the most out of working with influencers, check out Ecocult’s post¬†for tips.
GIFTS FROM BRANDS & PR COMPANIES
Since I strive to live a minimalist lifestyle, I’m only accepting items I absolutely adore and would buy anyway. For the things I do accept, they’ll be integrated into my wardrobe and everyday life, and I tend to wear or use my things regularly. Chances are the items will be featured in my outfit and/or travel posts, and definitely on Instagram, without adhering to any deadlines or input from the brand/PR company. I will clearly state in the post or on Instagram when a product is gifted. I will ship the item back if I discover an item of value is unsuitable for me to be fair to the company.
I promote products and services I genuinely like and discover organically.¬†Aside from accepting the occasional gift, I don’t work for free when brands pitch me to cover them, although I will consider them for future ethical roundups and shopping guides.¬†See Ecocult’s post on why you should pay ethical bloggers for coverage. My other blogger buddy Ethical Unicorn has a mini guide on working with ethical bloggers. I highly recommend both posts, especially to new companies.
If you’d like a creative brand spotlight on your conscious product or service, contact me using the form below for my media kit and rates.¬†I pitch story ideas and am open to the brand’s ideas as well. A sponsored post will get more shares when it is beneficial to the reader and not simply a paid ad.¬†For fashion items, we can do a lookbook, best-of roundups, styling tips,¬†or something as simple as an ethical outfit post. For non-fashion sponsored posts, see some examples of collaborations I’ve done in the past here.
I also have planned future posts in my editorial calendar that brands can sponsor. If you think the topic is suitable, contact me for creative ideas on how to highlight your product or service in the post.
