Note: I’ve stopped editing this directory in 2016. While most of the info is still relevant, please see current style posts to keep¬†up to date with new ethical fashion brands.
Since my 2016 resolution is to buy only ethical clothes, I made this list to make it easier to find what I need. This is not a complete list; it only includes the sites I see myself shopping at. Fortunately, I’m still spoilt for choice.
Many brands are also sustainable, meaning they take the environment into account in making their pieces, but not all, so check for yourselves to make sure. I’ve also marked where you can find¬†affordable pieces (with some pricing on par with Zara and Urban Outfitters) and the ones that are luxury brands. Most brands fall in the middle.
This list doesn’t include seasonal items like swimwear and winter jackets, or accessories like bags or jewelry. I will make separate posts in the future.
