Ethical Outfit: Trans-seasonal Sweater Love

Remember this pink top from my summer wishlist? Lemlem was having a summer sale, and I had to get it. The Bett top is 100% cotton and made ethically in Kenya. It’s thick enough to pass as a sweater, so I can wear it all year round—in the summer as a bikini coverup or with shorts, and during the other seasons with leggings or jeans. The care instructions says to dry clean or hand wash, but it’s okay to put it in a washer on a delicate setting, inside a mesh laundry bag.

Here, I am wearing the top with black leggings and heels in early October. The V-panel high waisted leggings are made from eco friendly bamboo fabric and mesh. I’ve had this and Crespo’s Black Mesh Swirl Panel Leggings for 6 months now. I wear them all the time at the gym and they have really held up. They’re slightly sexy and I get asked about them all the time. What I really love about both leggings is how versatile/multi-functional they are. You can dress them up with heels, or on casual days with flats or sneakers. They’re comfortable and very travel-friendly.
