Non-toxic Winter Beauty Rituals for Face, Body, and Hair

This winter, I’m ready. I’m stepping up my beauty and self-care routine, and my bathroom is now my own little spa. If there’s one thing I recommend doing it’s exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.

Here are all the nontoxic beauty products I’ve incorporated into my beauty ritual this season.

Trader Joe’s Blueberry & Acai Facial Scrub — I stocked up on this AHA scrub when I was in the States. I alternate between this and Goop’s Exfoliating Instant Facial to keep my skin glowing. It is no replacement for the Goop product (part of my permanent skincare routine), but at $5.99 for the scrub, I have no complaints. Since blueberry can stain, it’s best used in the shower.

Gemstone Face Roller — When I remember, I use this a couple of minutes a day, right after I put on a serum. It’s just really relaxing. Instructions are included as to how to use this.

Goop Perfecting Eye Cream — I’m trying out this eye cream for winter, which is a little more moisturizing than my usual one. I feared it might be greasy, but it’s not. I’m really liking it so far.

Eye Cream Wand — I don’t know if this heated wand for eye cream really does much, but it’s very relaxing to use. After I dab the eye cream around my eyes, I use this to smooth it into my skin. It runs on a AAA battery and heats up instantly as soon as it touches the skin.

Henne Organics Lip Serum — Sure, chapstick does the trick, but I wanted to be bougie and try this out. I like it, although the 24k rollerball is a little stingy with dispensing product. I guess they wanted to err on the side of caution rather than dispense too much oil at once.

Goop G.Tox Himalayan Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo — While the name is a total tongue twister, this whipped shampoo is amazing. You only need a small amount of this product, quarter size or less, because it will lather like crazy. The container will last me a while. The shampoo can dry the hair a little, so use it once a week as a clarifying shampoo.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask — I use this nourishing hair mask after the G.Tox shampoo. For deeper conditioning, use this with a shower cap for ten minutes.

Goop G.Tox Ultimate Dry Brush —I started dry brushing before showering to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin. It only takes a couple of minutes.

Organik Botanik Desert Lime and Hemp Oil Body Scrub — I found this randomly at Winners, and I don’t think they even make this body scrub anymore but see here for ones you can buy. You can always make your own too with sea salt or coffee grounds. I use this in the bath and pretend I’m at the spa.
