In My Beauty Cabinet: The Best Green Skincare Products Right Now

Catherine from Walking with Cake tagged me to write about my favourite skincare products at the moments. Of course, I jumped on it since I’m obsessed with all things skin related. I can talk about my favourite natural, nontoxic skincare products all day, so here we go:

1. What’s your skin type?

I have combination skin that’s a little sensitive.

2. How do you store your skincare products?

Most are on this bamboo Ikea shelf in my bathroom. It gives the place a spa vibe. I also have a medicine cabinet that holds products I don’t use as frequently.

3. Favorite ingredient?

Hard to pick one. I’ve reacted positively to every natural facial oil I’ve tried. The one I’m using right now is Poetic Blend’s Hero Oil, which is a blend of natural, plant-based ingredients. I also use oil blends to moisturize the body and to remove eye makeup (see We Love Eyes).

4. Most indulgent product?

Tata Harper’s Hydrating Floral Essence. It’s soothing and so refreshing.

5. Best budget buy?

Thayers Alcohol-Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera. I’ve been using it for years because it’s gentle. I use a toner after cleansing when I want to make sure my skin is free of any makeup from the day.

6. Do you use any tools?

I use this derma roller when I remember to, and I should probably use it more frequently. It’s safe enough to use every two weeks. I soak or spray it with alcohol before and after each use.

7. Best mask?

Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask.

8. Best multi-use product?

Coconut oil. You can use it as a moisturizer for the face and body, to condition your hair or scalp, or to remove waterproof eye makeup. And of course you can use it in cooking.

9. If you had to stick to only one skincare brand, what would it be?

Every Tata Harper product I’ve ever tried has worked well for me. They’re 100% natural and good for my sensitive skin.

10. Best spot treatment?

I just started using 100% pure frankincense essential oil because I learned of its natural healing capabilities. I use doTERRA’s frankincense oil because this brand’s oils are so pure you can safely ingest many of them. One drop is very potent, so less is more.

11. Favorite step of your skincare routine?

Spraying essence/toner on or massaging my skin with natural facial oil.

12. What’s on your skincare wishlist?

I’d like to try more Tatcha skincare. Also anything by Drunk Elephant, mainly because of their awesome name.

I’m tagging you to tell me your favourite green beauty skincare products. Please leave your link in the comments!

Update: my blogger buddy Jacalyn Beales accepted the tag in her post, Products I Can’t Live Without.
